If my maize is attacked by worms, can I uproot and feed it to my cattle?
Answer: Yes, but do not give it to them when fresh because cattle do not eat fresh ‘meat’. You can process the maize leaves into silage and feed it to the animals when dry. The worms in the silage are a source of protein for the animals.
