About 2,000 residents from the four villages of Ngugo parish in Bugamba sub-county, Rwampara district, have a reason to smile after the Government, through the water ministry, gave them a small scale irrigation scheme that will boost crop production and productivity.
The project pumps water from the hills of Rwirogo, where collection tanks were set up. The four villages are Ngugo I, Ngugo II, Rukuzi and Kikuto, as well as Ngugo Technical College, all in Ngugo parish.
