The 2025 Harvest Money Expo has been confirmed for the weekend of February 14th to 16th.
Organised by Vision Group, the biggest agriculture and agribusiness annual event is slated for February 14th to 16th at Ceremonial Grounds, Kampala under the theme “Farming as a Business”. But with emphasis on post-harvest handling and value addition and cooperatives.
The three-day interactive expo will bring together all players of the sector ranging from farmers led by Vision Group’s best farmers, agro agro-input dealers in seed, fertilizers, drugs, breeders, machinery, post-harvest handling, value addition and markets among others.
For visitors who wish to enter and interact with exhibitors they will pay sh10, 000 and to attend the trainings that will happen every day of the expo, each pays sh10, 000 a day.
Although the expo started in 2017 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, it was moved to Kololo in 2022, mainly because Namboole was undergoing renovations. This year, 2025, the expo is back to its first home.
This is the annual event that no farming player must miss because there is a lot to learn and gain, as it is one place where every player is available from government agencies and ministries, private and international companies.

Organised by Vision Group, the Expo is sponsored by the Embassy of the Netherlands, Tunga Nutrition, Engineering Solutions, Bella Wine, Uganda Development Corporation plus others.
Dr Samuel Ssewagudde, a veterinary doctor with Trouw NV the producers of Hendrix concentrate distributed by Champrisa International, promised those who will visit the expo that, their stall will be full of learning and education material.
“The stall will be fully stocked with quality and nutritious concentrates that will enable farmers to manage their farm costs but maximize revenues. At the stall, we will have experts to explain to farmers the best feed mixing, mobile machines to check aflatoxins from feeds and also one that will check the quality of feed raw materials,” he says.
Previous expos attracted exhibitors from the Netherlands, Kenya, Tanzania and Egypt, among others. On average at least 250 exhibitors from all key agriculture sectors attend each year. Over 30,000 showgoers tour stalls each year.
NEW TRAINING SESSIONS
27 training sessions that will be held during the expo are targeted at improving value addition, postharvest handling and crop marketing for farmers. The new sessions include Mindset change in agriculture, Farming and the Law, Growing pastures as a business, a session for schools on Friday February 14th.
“Schools are encouraged to bring their students on February 14th. We shall have a subsidized entry fee for them plus a training session that will be specifically handled by students,” New Vision CEO Don Wanyama says.
The sessions have been organized to be more practical than previous trainings.
Others sessions include goats, cattle, piggery, poultry and fish farming, vegetable farming, urban farming, trees including hass avocado and macadamia, dairy cattle breeding and selection, opportunities from the Dutch etc.
