Vision Group’s Harvest Money Expo is back with a bang. This is the most exciting and educative agricultural show in Uganda. Many children enjoy it and this year, it is much bigger and better.
Fiona Tamale, the Vision Group’s events manager says; “There is a lot for children to enjoy and learn.”
Bring them to Namboole Stadium from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16, 2025. It is a three-day expo.
Many farmers from across the country will be there, showcasing unique products and innovations in agriculture.
Have your children ever seen a bunch of matooke that is taller than a seven-year-old? Or a bunch of cassava tubers big like an anthill? Just bring them to the expo.
They will also get a chance to see and learn about exotic pigs, chicken, goats and rabbits plus modern tractors that plant, weed and harvest crops. Also, at different stalls, they will taste drinks and eats for free.
If any of them aspires to become a farmer or to run an agribusiness, this is the perfect opportunity for them to be mentored by successful farmers.
Everything is practical. They will see, touch and experience things they see on television. There are also sessions for young farmers where they will learn from fellow children who have made it in farming.
And if they haven’t travelled by train or been to Namboole stadium, this is the right time to take a tour. That way, they will shoot two birds with one stone. It’s such a memorable experience.
Elanie Nannozi 12, attended the expo last year and has this to share; “I attended with my father and brother. We learnt a lot that helped us to improve our garden. I also enjoyed the sessions on beekeeping.”
