How To Detect Diseases In Chicken

There are various ways through which you can detect that a chicken is suffering from diseases. These include, the bird appearing dull and listless, with sleepy eyes and lack energy.

The wings droop or sag, especially in young birds, the feathers appear ruffled, the bird loses appetite and may stop feeding completely, it may have diarrhoea with watery or blood stains.

Others include strange sounds and actions, loss of weight, coughing, pale combs and wattles, lesions or swelling on the head and feet, a drop in egg production if the chickens are layers, abnormal shell quality and sudden deaths.
