Increased coffee exports from Vietnam are weighing in on Robusta prices after the General Statistics Office of Vietnam reported that Vietnam’s Jan-Dec coffee exports were up by 10.1% at 1.72 MMT.

March position closed at $ 1,825 (about sh6,661250) per tonne losing $7(about sh25,550), while May position closed at $1797 (about sh6559,050) per tonne, losing$7 from previous closing.

According to a daily coffee market analysis report by Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), ICE Arabica coffee futures closed lower on Friday.

Abundant global coffee supplies are bearish for prices. ICE Arabica coffee inventories have risen steadily and posted a 6-month high on Friday of 830,272 bags.
