Coffee farmers in Kyabigambire in Hoima district have been left in despair after coffee wilt attacked several coffee farms.

The wilt is causing coffee plants to dry, prompting coffee seeds to ripen prematurely.

Kyomya Julius and Jotham Busobozi say they have lost a lot of coffee and that pesticides are so expensive.

The LCI chairpersons of Karungu Bisweri Katuramu blamed the sub-county agriculture extension officers for not providing professional guidance to the farmers.
