Can One Give A Mother Rabbit To A Male Eight Hours After Conceiving?

Much as a rabbit can conceive the day it kindles (give birth), it is not allowed to give it a male because this will affect its ability to take care of the young ones. This is why a buck is never kept with a doe.

If this is allowed, it means that it will have to wean the bunnies much earlier and this is also dangerous.

Contrary to the common belief that mother rabbits cannot take care of their young ones without the support of a person, they actually can and they do it better than anything that people can do.

All you need is to prepare a mothering box in its cage as its due time nears.

Can I feed my rabbit on market residues?

It is not right to feed rabbits on market residues because many of them are contaminated with chemicals.

For example, greens like cabbages are sprayed during their growth and this is not good for rabbits.

Furthermore, if you are a commercial farmer, you need to control and know the amount of feeds that your rabbits are taking vis a vis the weight gain.

This is why you need to feed your rabbits on feeds whose nutrient content is well known so that they get the right weight gain and growth.
